We are completely independent of any medical manufacturer so will not encourage patients to use more prescription items to increase our profits and are committed to reducing waste, improving patient care, and saving the NHS money. We have no shareholders; instead profits are donated to charitable projects such as:
Patient Support Groups
Patient Choice provides funding direct to patient support groups encouraging patients to meet and support others locally.
OstomyAid
Patient Choice supports the redistribution of unused ostomy supplies which are no longer needed by patients to developing countries. This is an ever increasing problem in the UK as over £1m of unused prescription items end up in landfill each year.
Your Choice Fund
Your Choice Fund donates a minimum of 10% of the charity's income to causes nominated by patients. Until the Foundation's other main grant streams have been established we have decided to continue to allocate a minimum of £50 per nomination in 2012 and 2013.
